First moving in a sector dominated and carefully protected by European and white-owned companies – The A Company Group’s first innovation was created in 2018: Healthy and innovative drinks made from cocoa bean shells and cocoa juice. Drawing on traditional African knowledge, our founder succeeded in creating and marketing the world’s first product made from the waste products of traditional cocoa processing.

Due to the various challenges our founder has faced and the subsequent adaptations they have had to implement, the main objective of the company has remained the same: to promote African expertise and traditional know-how through consultancy and empowerment services, and to create and market innovations and creations that credibly serve the following causes: Fairness, health and sustainability.

The mission to make the special role of African traditional knowledge and practices even more visible in our everyday lives was set by our founder, Dayog Kabore, already in 2015 and 2016 as part of his academic work. Despite experiencing existential setbacks and racism in all its forms, he never gave up, viewing every challenge as an opportunity for personal growth and professional reinvention. He brings this resilience and adaptability to all his projects.

In this regard, its primary focus is on designing and implementing income-generating projects for farmers, particularly in West Africa. The company is also committed to designing inclusive and transparent value chains, even in conflict-affected regions such as Burkina Faso.

The A COMPANY Group operates as a consortium of independent legal entities that share the same vision, mission and approach: to utilise African expertise and traditional knowledge, while incorporating modern processing techniques, to enhance the value of African raw materials for the benefit of people and the environment.
The different entities of the group are involved in developing, creating value and distributing innovations and products in the food, non-food, lifestyle and materials sectors based on African know-how or raw materials of African origin. They also offer consulting services and empowerment opportunities for the implementation of circular economy solutions.
